Kentec Training Centre

The Kentec Training Centre is well established as a training provider for Mobile Access Towers, Low Level Access, Ladders, Steps and Abrasive Wheels and offers training courses both to our own certification and to nationally recognised and accredited standards. We are a registered training centre for PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' & Manufacturers' Association) and The Ladder Association (formally the 'British Ladder Manufacturer's Association').

PASMA Standard Tower Course

Weather you are an individual or a large company, the Work at Height Regulations impact upon your work procedures and methods whilst at work. ALL operatives working at height must be competent which includes an understanding of the equipment they are using to work at height. The PASMA Standard Operator's Course is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 12 delegates at a time, and is aimed at anyone in your organisation who assemble, alter, dismantle, move, inspect and most importantly use Alloy or Fibreglass Mobile Access Towers in the work place. This not only includes construction sites but all work places, such as Schools, Offices and Factories both internally and externally. This

course is available as an open course at our Training Centre in Tonbridge or On-Site (subject to suitable conditions).

'The Ladder Association' Ladder and Step Ladder Course

industrial_steps Kentec, in association with the Ladder Association (formally the BLMA) now offer a nationally recognised training scheme for users, supervisors and managers wanting to equip themselves tbla with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to use ladders and step ladders legally and safely.

Under the regulations every person in the chain leading up to, and including, the final user, has a duty of care to both themselves and others to know and understand the practical implications of working safely at height.

Demonstration of competence is a key requirement of the new regulations and successful completion of the Ladder Association training course provides proof of such competence.

Abrasive Wheel Course

We provide Abrasive Wheel Instruction Courses either at our training centre or on your site. Ideally suited to companies that have individuals or a number of employees who require training to comply with Regulation 9 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment 1998 and need a full and better understanding of the safe and correct use of Abrasive Wheels in the work place. This course covers the use of Abrasive Wheels on: Angle Grinders, Bench Top Chop Saws and Portable Cut Off Saws.
