The Work at Height Regulations 2005 require that anyone using a mobile access tower should be competent. We are an approved Pasma Training Centre, and can provide nationwide training to ensure your operators are competent to assemble, dismantle and alter Mobile Access Tower.

The PASMA Standard Operator's Course is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 12 delegates at a time, and is aimed at anyone in your organisation who assemble, alter, dismantle, move, inspect and most importantly use Alloy or Fibreglass Mobile Access Towers in the workplace. This not only includes construction sites but all workplaces, such as schools, offices and factories both internally and externally. This course is available as an open course at our training centre in Tonbridge or on-site (subject to suitable conditions).

The IPAF Operator Training Course is one day (typically 8.30am to 4.30pm) for anyone in your organisation that operates Scissorlifts, Static or Self Powered Telescopic and Articulating Booms, Vertical Platforms, Vehicle or Trailer Mounted Platforms and Booms.

The course includes both theory and practical instruction enabling your employees to develop an awareness of the legal implications, common hazards and precautions, together with the correct driving, use, pre-use inspection, elevating, lowering and emergency procedures for MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms)

Kentec, in association with the Ladder Association (formally the BLMA) now offer a nationally recognised training scheme for users, supervisors and managers wanting to equip themselves with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to use ladders and step ladders legally and safely.

Under the regulations every person in the chain leading up to, and including, the final user, has a duty of care to both themselves and others to know and understand the practical implications of working safely at height.

Demonstration of competence is a key requirement of the new regulations and successful completion of the Ladder Association training course provides proof of such competence.

Do you use Podiums or Low Level Folding Access Platforms?

The PASMA Low Level Access Course is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 12 delegates, and will cover the low-level access products with platform heights 2.5m or below, such as Podium Steps, Folding Room Scaffolds and wide area low level access towers, the course incorporates theory and practical instruction sessions and assessments.

This course will instruct and assess each candidate in the competence to assemble, dismantle, use, move and inspect low-level prefabricated access units.

Kentec are pleased to offer this course which provides the essential knowledge required for any person who has to work with or manger the use of Safety Harnesses and Lanyards for Fall Prevention and Protection Systems. This course will provide participants with information on their legal obligations, regulations, hazards, correct standards, pre-use inspection, storage, fitting and rescue provisions to be adopted.

This course is suitable for all operators, managers and supervisors who, as part of their working duties, select, mount, specify or use abrasive wheels as defined in 'The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998'. The aim of the course is to enable delegates to work safely, to provide an understanding of current legislation and promote awareness of the dangers and hazards of abrasive wheels, to offer practical steps to reduce workplace accidents and encourage workers to adopt a culture that results in a safer workplace.

This half day theory course is available with an optional practical instruction and assessment module.

This half day course will cover the basic operation and methods involved in locating underground services and hazards to be aware of and how to determine the readings given. All courses are conducted to a high standard using computer to video projector presentation along with video presentations and supporting samples of products, tools and equipment for practical demonstrations and assessment.
