This is a one day training course, which, prior to 2009, was the qualification taken by those designated as an 'Appointed Person for First Aid' in an organisation. It is suitable for all who wish to learn Basic First Aid and those who need a formal qualification, but the risk assessment shows that the full First Aid at Work certificate is not necessary. The course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 DurationThe course is normally run over one day (6 hours). AssessmentThere is no external assessment. CertificationUpon successful completion of the course, each candidate will get a certificate issued by an HSE-approved Centre. The certificate is valid for three years.
