This three day First Aid at Work training course instruction enables successful candidates to be designated as a First Aider at their workplace. It also gives a thorough grounding in all the major areas of First Aid. The course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981
Duration
The First Aid at Work course is normally run over three days (18 hours) but it can also be run in smaller sections to suit your requirements.
Assessment
Candidates will be required to undertake both a theory and practical assessment at the end of the training course. The practical assessment is designed to be low stress and ample preparation is given
Numbers
The maximum number of candidates allowed is 12. It is difficult to run an effective course with less than 4 participants
Course content
The training course content will be tailored to the needs of the workplace(s) involved but will always cover:
- First Aid Legislation
- Assessing incidents
- Dealing with unconscious casualties and Resuscitation
- Choking
- Asthma
- Bleeding
- Shock
- Fractures
- Muscle injuries
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy
- Aftercare
- First Aid kits
Certification
The certificate is valid for 3 years

The cost of the First Aid at Work training course instruction is £260.00 + vat per person and is inclusive of:
