Candidates will gain an understanding of the process of lifting and moving, be able to identify risks and determine the safest method of handling without injury, in line with approved code of practice, methods and regulations.

Our Manual handling training course is suitable for anyone in an organisation who is required to handle, lift, push or move any load from office workers, construction workers to production line operators.

Course Objective:

Our Manual Handling Training Course include the use of theory, props, tuition and practical lifting techniques to demonstrate to attendees how to lift, carry, move and transport objects safely.

This course covers instruction in the following:

• Introduction to manual handling
• Lifting and carrying safely
• Techniques to avoid injury and strain
• Manual handling risk assessment explained
• How this applies to you
• Lifting and carrying in special situations
• The use of equipment
• How to recognise and avoid potential problems
• Responsibilities of employers and employees

Duration:

Half Day Course – typically 2 to 4 hours

Certification:

This course is accredited by Kentec Training, and each candidate who successfully completes the course will receive a Kentec Training Photo ID Card and Certificate.
