IPAF Training - Operator Course

Course Overview:
The IPAF Training Course instructs candidates how to safely operate a range of MEWPS (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms). It also covers skills such as the selection and pre-inspection of the equipment. The IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification is internationally recognised qualification for use of such machinery.

IPAF Categories:
IPAF have changed the classification of their Machine Categories of which the common catagories are: 1a, 1b, 3a, and 3b.
Suitable for:
Anyone in an organisation that operates scissor lifts, static or self powered telescopic and articulating booms, vertical platforms, vehicle or trailer mounted platforms and booms. This not only includes construction sites but all workplaces, such as schools, offices, theatres and factories both internally and externally.

Course Objective:
Following the IPAF proven blend of theory and practical instruction, your employees can develop an awareness of the legal implications, common hazards and precautions, together with the correct driving, operation, pre-use inspection, elevating, lowering and emergency procedures for these commonly used MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms).
The IPAF Training Course content Includes:

- Practical Training
- Practical Assessment Pass or Fail

Duration:
One Day – typically 7 – 8 hours
PPE Kit Required:
Our IPAF Operator Training Courses requires each candidate to have the following PPE:
- Safety Helmet with Chin Strap
- Gloves
- Hi-Vis Vest
- Full Body Safety Harness with Short/Adjustable Restraint Lanyard
- Safety Footwear
We can offer, for a reduced price, our MEWP Safety Kit, comprising of Safety Helmet with Chin Strap, Hi-Visibility Vest, Gloves , Safety Specs, Hi-Visibility Tote Carry Bag & Full Body Harness Kit.

Certification:
Upon successfully passing both the written and practical assessments, each delegate's details will be entered on to the IPAF central database and a Certificate of Competency and a Photo-ID Card will be issued that is valid for 5 years.
Cost:
£165.00 + vat per person (Single Category, i.e. 3A or 3B) additional categories are available on the same day at only £30.00 + vat per person per category
Example Cost:
1 Category £165.00 + vat per person
2 Categories £195.00 + vat per person (Completed on same training day)
3 Categories £225.00 + vat per person (Completed on same training day)
