Course Overview:

The PASMA Towers For Managers Course is intended for managers or those who supervise the work of others who utilise mobile access towers. It covers in detail the legislative framework, setting standards and implementing best practice and the role and responsibilities in managing work at height activities with mobile access towers. The course is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 12 delegates.

Suitable for:

Anyone in an organisation, who has responsibility for overseeing the work of operatives on site ensuring that work is properly planned and organised and that those involved in carrying out the work are competent and properly trained, and that towers are correcly inspected and maintained.

Course Objective:

To enable an individual to effectively comply with their duties under the Work at Height Regulations

The PASMA Towers For Managers Course content includes:

• The Competent Person
• Health and Safety Legislation
• Work at Height Regulations
• Guidance on Working at Height with Mobile Access Towers
• Tower Categories
• Tower Componants
• Hazards
• Risk Assessment and Emergency Rescue Plans and Provisions
• Inspection, Tagging and Reporting
• Written Assessment and Practical Exercise

Pre-Qualification/Experience:

Duration:

One Day – typically 6 hours

PPE Required:

Each delegate will need PPE for the Tower Inspection Exercise consisting of:

• Safety Helment with Chin Strip
• Hi-Vis Vest
• Safety Boots
• Gloves



Certification:

Upon successfully passing both the written and practical assessments, each delegate's details will be entered on to the PASMA central database and a Certificate of Competency and a Photo-ID Card will be issued that is valid for 5 years.
