Course Overview:The IPAF training Safety Harness Course instructs candidates how to use safety harnessess and lanyards when using a range of MEWPS (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms). It also covers skills such as the selection and pre-inspection of the equipment. The IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification is internationally recognised qualification for use of such machinery. Suitable for:Anyone in an organisation that use, supervise or manage the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPS) and needs to be made aware of the correct selection, inspection and use of safety harnesses to prevent falls.
Course Objective:Following the IPAF proven blend of theory and practical instruction, your employees can develop an awareness of the legal implications, common hazards and precautions, together with the correct driving, operation, pre-use inspection, elevating, lowering and emergency procedures for these commonly used MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms). Duration:Our IPAF Training Safety Harness Courses requires each candidate to inspect and wear a full body safety harness and lanyard. Kentec have harness kits available for those candidates that do not have their own. IPAF Approved Harness Kits are available to purchase, Certification:Upon successfully passing both the written and practical assessments, each delegate's details will be entered on to the IPAF central database and a Certificate of Competency will be issued that is valid for 5 years.
