If you're an employer in the construction industry, you could be eligible for funding from CITB towards your company's training costs. The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is a UK-based statutory body dedicated to developing skills, providing training, and generally supporting the workforce of the construction sector. Through CITB, grants are available for completing short courses that focus on key skills which are seen as core to the needs of the construction industry.
As a registered CITB Approved Training Organisation (ATO), Kentec Training can apply for grants on your company’s behalf towards your employee’s training costs for the achievement of approved short courses, potentially saving between £60 to £240 per employee per course.
To be eligible to apply for and receive short course grants from CITB, your company is required to:

Grants for courses where the standard is in development are only paid once per individual per lifetime as the requirement for a renewal or refresher has not yet been determined.
When you book your course with Kentec Training, please ensure you provide our support team with the following:
Without either of these, Kentec will not be able to apply for the automated grant on your behalf.
When an individual has successfully achieved an approved short course, our support team will update CITB, prompting them to enter the achievement on the Construction Training Register and process the automated grant application. Grants are typically paid by bank transfer.
Newly registered employers have a maximum cap of 35 short course achievement grants for the financial year in which they are first registered, with the cap being lifted for subsequent years.
Please contact CITB’s Customer Services team on 0344 994 4455 if your payment is not received within one month of achieving the course.
