Our Corporate Social Responsibilities

Our corporate social responsibilities reflect Kentec Training’s commitment to making a positive impact beyond our core services. We actively support safer workplaces, invest in people through training and development, and contribute to initiatives that benefit our communities and the wider industry. We believe in operating responsibly, ethically, and with a long term focus on doing what is right for our clients, our people, and the environment.

Living Wage Employer

Kentec Training is a registered Living Wage Employer, committed to ensuring all employees receive a fair and sustainable rate of pay that reflects the real cost of living. This accreditation demonstrates our dedication to valuing our team properly and providing financial stability across the business, supporting staff in maintaining a secure and balanced standard of living.

For our employees, this means more than just fair pay. It reflects a wider commitment to wellbeing, respect, and long term support, helping to create a workplace where people feel valued and secure. Alongside competitive pay, we focus on maintaining financial wellbeing through stable employment, opportunities for development, and a positive working environment where staff are supported both professionally and personally.

No Falls Foundation - Bronze Supporter

Kentec is a Bronze Supporter of the No Falls Foundation, the UK’s only registered charity dedicated exclusively to the prevention of falls from height. The charity works to improve awareness, provide education, and support initiatives that reduce fall related incidents, while also assisting individuals and families affected by such accidents within the workplace.

Our support reflects a shared commitment to improving safety standards across the industries we serve, particularly within working at height environments where risk awareness and proper training are critical. In addition to our annual bronze contribution, we also have donation boxes located at both our Tonbridge and Ashford training centres, helping to raise funds and support the Foundation’s ongoing work in preventing falls and promoting safer working practices.

Armed Forces Covenant - Bronze Award

Kentec Training is proud to hold the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze Award, demonstrating our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community and recognising the value that serving personnel, veterans, and their families bring to the workplace. The award reflects our pledge to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant by ensuring fair treatment and providing meaningful opportunities for those who have served.

This commitment is reflected within our workforce, with several of our instructors being ex-Armed Forces personnel who bring extensive operational experience, discipline, and real world expertise into our training environment. Their background enhances the quality and authenticity of our delivery, particularly in high risk sectors such as working at height, plant, and safety training, while also reinforcing our ongoing support for veterans transitioning into civilian careers.

Career Transition Partnership (CTP) Preferred Supplier

Kentec Training is also a preferred supplier of the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), recognising us as an approved training provider supporting service leavers as they transition from military service into civilian careers. The CTP, operated by the UK Ministry of Defence, connects veterans with trusted organisations that can help them build meaningful post service employment pathways through accredited training and development.

Through our Instructor Academy, we provide a structured route for ex Armed Forces personnel to retrain as health & safety and working at height instructors. This programme is designed to build on the discipline, operational experience, and safety awareness gained during military service, converting it into recognised instructional competence within the training industry. It enables service leavers to progress into rewarding careers where they can pass on their knowledge and experience to the next generation of workers in high risk environments.

Army Benevolent Fund Supporter

Kentec Training proudly supports the Army Benevolent Fund, the leading charity supporting soldiers, veterans, and their families across the United Kingdom. The charity provides vital financial assistance, recovery support, and lifelong care for members of the Army community, helping those who have served to live with dignity, independence, and security after service.

As part of this commitment, two members of Kentec Training’s management team took on the 100km Western Front Line Walk across the historic First World War battlefields of France and Belgium. The challenge followed key frontline locations and memorial sites, raising awareness and funds in support of the Armed Forces community. Through sponsorship and donations, they collectively raised over £3,000 for the Army Benevolent Fund, directly contributing to its ongoing work supporting veterans and their families.

Blind Veterans UK Supporter

Blind Veterans UK is a national charity dedicated to supporting blind and vision impaired veterans to rebuild their lives after sight loss. The organisation provides lifelong practical, emotional, and financial support, helping veterans regain confidence, independence, and access to new opportunities through rehabilitation, training, and community support services.

Kentec Training donated £500 in support of two of our Armed Forces veteran instructors Jason Whybrow & Jason Bradbury as they took part in the London Marathon 2026, running in aid of Blind Veterans UK. Their efforts raised over £2,800 for the charity, directly contributing to the vital services it provides for veterans living with sight loss. The challenge reflected both their personal commitment and our wider dedication to supporting the Armed Forces community and the charities that serve them.

Kent Search & Rescue Supporter

Kent Search & Rescue is a volunteer led emergency response charity that supports the police in locating high risk missing persons across Kent. Operating 24/7, the team provides specialist search capabilities, trained volunteers, and vital support to help bring vulnerable individuals home safely. Their work plays a critical role in safeguarding communities and responding to urgent incidents across the county.

Kentec Training proudly donated £150 in support of our instructors Lewis Smith and Jason Whybrow, who took on a 50km trek in a single day through the Kent countryside to raise funds for the charity. Their challenge helped contribute to the ongoing work of Kent Search & Rescue, supporting the training, equipment, and operational readiness required to continue their life saving missions.
