Course Overview

Our NPORS Overhead Crane Experienced Worker Test (EWT) Course delivers a half-day practical assessment, with no additional theory or practical instruction, and is designed to accommodate up to a maximum of 4 tests. Successful delegates will gain a renewed qualification that will meet the legal requirements laid out by UK regulatory bodies to show they are competent in the safe preparation and operation of Overhead Cranes.

In order to attend this course, you must hold the following:

  • A valid UK Passport or Driving Licence.
  • Proof of your valid NPORS Overhead Crane Operators Card.

These will need to be presented to the instructor on the day. This is a requirement of NPORS.

This course consists of a practical assessment only.

This course is for operational site use which is aimed at those who already have a valid, in-date certification and wish to renew their qualification for an additional 3-5 years, depending on the chosen certification route.

Since the operation of this machinery can be physically demanding, delegates must be fit and able to carry out the tasks required in the course program. A good understanding of spoken and written English is required.

Successful delegates will receive an NPORS Overhead Crane Operators Card, which is valid for 3-5 years, depending on the chosen certification route.

By the end of the course, the delegates will be able to answer questions on and perform the following:
