Our L.A Ladders & Stepladders in the Professional Utility Sector Course provides training specifically tailored for users of ladders & stepladders in the utility sector (such Gas, Water, Electricity or Telecommunications) wanting to equip themselves, their employees or sub-contractors, with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to use ladders and stepladders legally and safely in the unique context of the utility industry.
Delegates that attend and successfully pass this course can progress to the L.A Ladder & Stepladder Inspection Course.
This course consists of a training room lecture, presentation, multiple-choice assessment, practical training and practical assessment.
This course is aimed at individuals belonging to
professional utility organisations - such as Gas, Water, Electricity or
Telecommunications – that require specialised ladder training on the safe
usage, transportation and pre-use inspection of ladders and step ladders in the
professional utility sectors. For example; ladders manufactured to BS EN 50528.
Delegates should:

Have
a good understanding of written & spoken English. If delegates have
any problems with English literacy or language comprehension, they must
bring them to the attention of their employer.
- Be
in good health, physically fit, and comfortable working at height so that
they that may take part in the practical training.
- Be within
the 150kg maximum load limit (including body weight, tools, and materials)
as per the revised EN 131 standard.

Successful delegates will receive a Ladders &
Stepladders in the Professional Utility Sector e-certificate accredited by the
Ladder Association, valid for a period of 5 years from the course date.
