As the industry evolves, so must the people delivering training - and our Instructor Academy has been created to help build and upskill the next generation of training professionals.

The Kentec Instructor Academy supports experienced individuals ready to progress into accredited training delivery. Our Instructor Academy provides a tailored pathway to get you there. Whether you are:
- A highly experienced operator ready to take the next step into teaching
- An organisation looking to develop internal trainers
- A newly qualified instructor seeking structured guidance and mentoring
- A qualified instructor looking to expand your accreditations and skill set
This new course category includes both Instructor Training and Instructor Mentoring, ensuring learners not only qualify, but also grow into confident, competent, and consistent instructors.

Instructor Training
Our Instructor Training courses are ideal for individuals who want to progress from experienced operators and to certified trainer. These programmes provide the qualification, teaching techniques and assessment skills needed to deliver accredited, high-quality training to others.
Led by experienced Kentec instructors, the courses combine theory, practical delivery and structured feedback to help you build confidence, instructional ability and subject expertise.
Current accredited options include:
- RTITB Lift Truck Instructor Course - Initial (Novice)
- RTITB Lift Truck Instructor Course - Re-Registration 5 Day (Standard)
- RTITB Lift Truck Instructor Course - Re-Registration 3 Day (Accelerated)
More accredited instructor qualifications will be added as the category continues to grow, so watch this space!

Instructor Mentoring
For newly qualified trainers or those working toward full accreditation.
Our Instructor Mentoring programmes support newly qualified instructors as they develop their delivery skills and build confidence in real training environments, and in some cases allow instructor candidates to complete their final mentored instructor course module and achieve qualified status.
Kentec Training's expert instructor team provides structured guidance, in-depth analysis and constructive feedback to help refine teaching style, course delivery and learner engagement. Through observation, supported delivery and independent assessment, instructor candidates gain practical experience, improve consistency and ensure they meet the standards required for full instructor status.
Mentoring pathways currently available include:
- IPAF MEWP Instructor Mentoring
- PASMA Instructor Mentoring (Module 5)
- Ladder Association Instructor Mentoring (Module 5)
Once again, we aim to expand upon our available mentoring programmes in the future!
Our Plan for Growth
The launch of the Kentec Instructor Academy is just the beginning.
Over the coming months and years, we will continue to expand this category to include additional accredited instructor qualifications, with our next planned qualification being our Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET) Course. We also plan to introduce full development pathways that guide individuals from having no instructor background to becoming fully qualified and confident trainers.
Our long-term vision is to create one of the most complete and respected instructor development routes in the industry. This will support both individuals looking to progress their careers and organisations seeking to build competent and compliant in-house training capability.
