We’re proud to announce the successful launch of our brand-new Ashford Training Centre - and what a fantastic open day it was!
The morning of August 1st kicked off bright and early with a special visit from Director James Patrick of JJP Contracts Ltd, who presented our Managing Director, Steve Booker, with a bottle of wine to mark the occasion and personally congratulate him on the opening. James and the JJP team were instrumental in transforming our Ashford premises, delivering a high-quality finish and pulling out all the stops to bring the centre over the finish line. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence is evident in every corner of the facility.
Throughout the day, the Kentec team proudly welcomed several of our long-standing clients, as well as many new faces from the local community. Guests had the opportunity to tour the centre, explore our purpose-built training environments, and get hands-on with our brand-new dedicated training stock. This includes state-of-the-art Sinoboom MEWPs and a wide range of new mobile access towers, supplied by our trusted partners at UTS Sales & Repair – whose commitment to safety and quality continues to support our growing training offering.
The highlight of the day came at noon with our official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Steve was joined by Tudor Price, Chief Executive of the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, to formally open the Training Centre. With the ribbon cut and applause all around, our branch in Ashford was officially open for business!
Tudor shared the following message in recognition of the launch of the new Ashford centre:
"I’d like to commend Steve, and the team at Kentec, in the way in which they’ve taken a long-term view with their business. An organisation like this, that has been born from a family, continues to invest and put down roots that are here for many decades to come – that’s the sort of businesses we should be encouraging more of here in the county. Congratulations to Steve and Kentec!"

This successful open day was a true team effort. Our instructors and support staff came together with pride, professionalism, and passion to ensure the first day set the standard for what’s to come. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who played a part - from the builders and suppliers, to our various partners, to our own dedicated team. Your hard work and commitment have laid the foundation for Ashford to not only impress from day one, but to continue delivering industry-leading training for years to come.
