Our Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (RQF) Course provides awareness of the core principles of safe manual handling, including: common manual handling injuries, the safe movement principles, theory of safe manual handling principles and manual handling equipment.
This course consists of a training room lecture, presentation, and multiple-choice examination.
Please note that this qualification does not include practical sessions. Those requiring practical training should undertake our Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF) Course.
The Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (RQF) Course is ideal for those who might have to carry out manual handling as part of their job role, such as handling deliveries, parcels and boxes.
Delegates should:
- Have a good understanding of written & spoken English. If delegates have any problems with English literacy or language comprehension, they must bring them to the attention of their employer.
- Be at least 16 years old.

Successful delegates will receive a Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (RQF) Course e-certificate accredited by Qualsafe, valid for a period of 3 years from the course date.

No. This is a knowledge-based qualification focusing on the principles of safe manual handling. If you require practical manual handling training, we recommend our QA Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF) course.
No. As this is a classroom-based course, you are not required to bring any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). For certain training sessions, temporary equipment such as safety harnesses may be provided if required.
