RTITB Lift Truck Instructor Course - Re-Registration 5 Day (Standard)

Since the safe use of lift trucks requires that candidates consult safety notices and read and thoroughly understand the manufacturer’s instruction manual, English literacy and language comprehension are important requirements for any operator.

Please note that candidates will be expected to operate, inspect and guide other operators in the usage of a lift truck, so please ensure you are in good health and are fully able to take part in the practical assessment.

• Relevant UK Regulations & Law
• Approved Code of Practice (ACOP)
• Instructor’s Role, Qualities and the Basic Principles of Instruction
• Skill and Task Analysis
• Theoretical & Practical Lesson Structure
• Report Writing
• Visual Aids
• Lift Truck Operator Examination
• Course Administration
• Advanced Operational Competence Test (Assessed)
• In-Class Lesson Delivery Test (Assessed)
• Associated Knowledge Test (Assessed)
• Practical Instructional Ability Test (Assessed)
• Professional Discussion (Assessed)

Successful instructors will have their registration onto the RTITB Register of Professional Instructors renewed. Once re-registered, Instructors are then eligible to work for RTITB Accredited Partners and Driver CPC Members once again, to deliver training. Instructors will also receive an updated RTITB Lift Truck Instructor certificate and ID card valid for a period of 5 years.
