Course Overview

Our PASMA Linked Towers for Users course will equip you with the specialist knowledge you need to work safely with linked towers, delivering a minimum of 6 hours of instruction and is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 8 delegates. Spend one day at our approved PASMA training centre with one of our expert instructor and go back to work knowing:

  • How to safely assemble, dismantle, alter and move linked towers
  • How to safely use linked towers
  • How to inspect linked towers
  • How to identify hazards relating to their use
  • What legislation, regulations and guidance are applicable to these towers
  • Using a combination of theory and practical work, this course builds on your existing tower knowledge by introducing new techniques for linking towers and new enabling components, such as walk-through or step-through end frames.

Delegates are required to have a valid and in-date PASMA Tower for Users qualification in order to attend this course.

This nationally recognised course provides training on mobile access towers manufactured in aluminium alloy, approved to BS EN1004-1:2020 & BS 1139-6 and which carry a current British Standard or other equivalent marks of approval.

This course consists of a training room lecture, DVD presentation, written assessment, practical training and assessment.

This course is aimed at personnel who are or will be responsible for assembling, dismantling, moving, inspecting and using mobile access towers with bridging units. Delegates are required to have successfully passed the PASMA Tower for Users Course prior to booking this course. A working knowledge of mobile access towers is an advantage.

Since the safe use of mobile access towers requires that delegates consult safety notices and read and thoroughly understand the manufacturer’s instruction manual, English literacy and language comprehension are important requirements for any tower user.

Please note that delegates will be expected to work at height whilst building a mobile access tower, so please ensure delegates are in good health and do not have a fear of heights that may preclude them from taking part in the practical assessment.

Successful delegates will receive a PASMA Linked Towers for Users e-certificate and physical photo ID card, valid for a period of 5 years from the date of the course. All successful delegates can also access their e-certification through the free PASMA TowerSure smartphone app, available on iOS and Android.

The agenda for the PASMA Linked Towers for Users Course includes:
