Our Safety Harness - Inspection course provides delegates
with the required competency to safely and correctly carry out interim and
detailed formal inspections on a range of commonly used fall protection
equipment (FPE), as well as accurately record their findings. This course is also
IPAF-approved.
Delegates will gain the knowledge and competence to design a
scheme of examination and produce compliant inspection reports in line with HSE
guidance (INDG-367). The course also covers the identification of common faults
and damage, alongside correct FPE disposal procedures.
This course consists of a training room lecture, presentation,
practical exercises, practical assessment, and a multiple-choice assessment
paper.

The Safety Harness - Inspection course
is ideal for personnel who are or will be
responsible for formally inspecting their own and/or their organisation’s FPE,
including safety harnesses, lanyards, connectors, and associated FPE (Fall
Protection Equipment) in the workplace.
Delegates
should:
- Have a good understanding of written & spoken
English. If delegates have any problems with English literacy or language
comprehension, they must bring them to the attention of their employer.

- CE and Manufacturing Marking Systems
- Inspection of Safety Harnesses
- Inspection of Webbing Lanyards
- Inspection of Rope Lanyards
- Inspection of Connectors
- Inspection of Webbing Anchor Slings
- Identifying Common Faults and Damage
- Correct Disposal of FPE
Successful delegates will receive a Safety
Harness - Inspection e-certificate accredited by Kentec Training and approved
by IPAF, valid for a period of 3 years from the course date.
To
remain certified, you will need to retake the full Safety Harness - Inspection
course once again.
