Our Safety Harness Essentials course equips delegates with
the core knowledge needed to correctly identify, select, wear and use safety
harnesses, lanyards, connectors, anchor points and other associated fall
protection equipment (FPE). This course is also IPAF-Approved.
Delegates also develop the practical understanding required
to carry out basic pre-use checks and inspections in line with the Work at
Height Regulations 2005. The course further covers the use of safety harnesses
in MEWPs, correct fitting and adjustment of full-body harnesses through
multiple practical exercises, and essential guidance and considerations for
working safely at height with safety harnesses.
This course consists of a training room lecture, presentation,
practical exercises, practical assessment, and a multiple-choice assessment
paper.

The Safety Harness Essentials course
is ideal for personnel who are or will be
responsible for using safety harnesses, lanyards, connectors, and associated
FPE (Fall Protection Equipment) in a work at height setting.
Delegates

Have a good understanding of written & spoken
English. If delegates have any problems with English literacy or language
comprehension, they must bring them to the attention of their employer.

Successful delegates will receive a Safety
Harness Essentials e-certificate accredited by Kentec Training and approved by
IPAF, valid for a period of 3 years from the course date.
To
remain certified, you will need to retake the full Safety Harness Essentials
course once again.

No. As this is a classroom-based course, you are not required to bring any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). For certain training sessions, temporary equipment such as safety harnesses may be provided if required.
