Our CITB Health & Safety Awareness eLearning Course provides training to aid the understanding of potential hazards the construction worker may face on site, as well as a summary of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, identifying the delegate’s responsibility for looking after themselves and others; outlining the employer’s duties; and explaining what should be done if the worker thinks that anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk.
This interactive eLearning course also delivers the foundational knowledge and prerequisite qualification required for individuals looking to obtain an industry accreditation (CSCS) card.
Upon purchase, delegates will receive a unique voucher code that will allow them access to their full eLearning course, including interactive online course materials, an online version of the construction health and safety awareness (GE707) publication, and an end-of-course invigilated examination delivered online by Kentec Training. Delegates will have a maximum of 12 months to complete the course from the day of purchase.
Please note that the course price includes a same-day examination resit, in the event that delegates do not pass, or fail to meet the minimum requirements.
This eCourse is aimed at individuals working in the construction and civil engineering industries who would like to develop their basic health & safety knowledge. This course can also be used as part of CSCS Labourer Card applications, and is an ideal means in which delegates can achieve the qualification from the comfort of their own space, and at a pace that suits them.
Since the CITB Health & Safety Awareness eLearning Course requires that delegates read and thoroughly understand course notes and instructions, literacy and English language comprehension are an important requirement.
The agenda for the CITB Health & Safety Awareness eLearning Course includes:
- The responsibilities you have for your own safety and the safety of others
- How to achieve better, practical standards of safety on site
- How to control typical construction hazards
- Legal requirements and liabilities
- How to work safely at height
- Manual handling
- How to prevent a fire
- Use of work equipment
- Occupational health
Once delegates have successfully completed all eLearning modules, they are then eligible to book their end-of-course exam online with Kentec Training. This can be done through your eCourse account on the CITB website - as always, our support team are available should you require any assistance. Upon successful completion of the exam, each delegate will receive a CITB Health & Safety Awareness e-certificate, valid for a period of 5 years from the course completion date.
In order to take the end of course exam online, you must have access to a personal laptop or desktop computer, it cannot be taken on a mobile or tablet or in a public place, such as a library or internet cafe. CITB do not recommend using a work device.
A natural progression from this course would be to attend the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Course.
