Our PASMA Tower for Managers Course delivers a minimum of 6 hours of instruction and is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 12 delegates and is designed as a ‘must do’ course for managers and supervisors responsible for overseeing the work of operatives on site using mobile access towers. You'll gain specialist knowledge that will allow you to support your teams better on-site, meet your legal obligations as a manager, and inspect & identify various types of tower.
Those who are actively involved in the assembly, alteration, movement, dismantling and use of mobile access towers should attend the PASMA Tower for Users Course.
This course consists of a training room lecture, presentation and written assessment.
The PASMA Towers for Managers Course is suitable for all supervisors, managers and business owners that control the work of others in the use of mobile access towers. There is no prerequisite for this course, although a working knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, standards and mobile access towers is an advantage.
Since the safe use of mobile access towers requires that delegates consult safety notices and read and thoroughly understand the manufacturer’s instruction manual, English literacy and language comprehension are important requirements for any tower user.
The agenda for the PASMA Towers for Managers Course includes:
- The Competent Person
- Legal Overview – Health & Safety / Work at Height Regulations 2005
- British & European Standards
- Guidance on Tower Components & Maintenance
- Tower Inspection (using TowerSure App)
- Tower Assembly & Dismantle (3T Method & Advanced Guardrail)
- Tower Stability & Tying-in
- Hazards When Using Mobile Access Towers with Bridges
- Risk Assessment and Emergency Rescue Plans and Provisions
Successful delegates will receive a PASMA Towers for Managers e-certificate, valid for a period of 5 years from the date of the course. All successful delegates can access their e-certification through the free PASMA TowerSure smartphone app, available on both iOS and Android. You will also be able to access your certification on the once your certificate number is issued.
