Our Safety Harness – Rooftop Safety Course equips delegates
with the knowledge, confidence and competence required to work safely at height
across a wide range of rooftop environments. The course covers safe working
practices on flat, pitched, curved, profiled and trussed roofs, as well as
chimneys, and the accompanying anchor systems that are required for each task.
This course is also IPAF-Approved.
Delegates will explore key risk control measures including
edge protection methods, the hazards associated with fragile roofs and
surfaces, and the safe management of asbestos during roof work. The course also
addresses the correct handling and storage of roofing materials, alongside a
broader understanding of common rooftop hazards to help reduce risk and ensure best
working practices when working at height.
This course consists of a training room lecture, presentation,
a multiple-choice assessment paper.
This course includes all core modules from our Safety
Harness Essentials Course.
The Safety Harness – Rooftop Safety
Course is ideal for any personnel who are or will
be involved in all work at height activities taking place on pitched, flat,
spire, trussed or curved roofs.
Delegates
should:
- Have a good understanding of written & spoken
English. If delegates have any problems with English literacy or language
comprehension, they must bring them to the attention of their employer.

Successful delegates will receive a Safety
Harness – Rooftop Safety e-certificate accredited by Kentec Training and
approved by IPAF, valid for a period of 3 years from the course date.
To
remain certified, you will need to retake the full Safety Harness – Rooftop
Safety Course once again.

No. As this is a classroom-based course, you are not required to bring any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). For certain training sessions, temporary equipment such as safety harnesses may be provided if required.
Yes, we can absolutely offer you support. We understand that everyone learns differently, and we’re committed to making our courses accessible to all. Our instructors are experienced in delivering training to individuals with varying levels of reading and writing ability.
We can offer additional verbal guidance, practical demonstrations, and one-to-one support when attending training courses at one of our training centres. If required, we can also arrange for assistance during written assessments, such as a reader.
