Steve is the Managing Director, co-founder, and senior instructor of Kentec Training. He is a Council member and Director of PASMA and the current vice-chair of the PASMA, Ladder Association, and IPAF training committees. Steve is regarded as one of the leading instructors within the access industry being called upon to talk atseminarsand facilitate courses for senior health and safety professionals from local authorities, utilities, IOSH groups, PASMA, the Ladder Association, and the H.S.E.
Steve provides strategic leadership, active management and takes particular responsibility for service and instructor standards. He ensures the company maintains outstanding levels of service, consistently matching the professionalism of our market-leading clients and contractors.
Kandy is a director and co-founder of Kentec Training and has supported Steve from the very first day in building Kentec Training into one of the leading training providers in the UK.
Kandy has always been tenacious in achieving the very highest standard possible in customer service and procedural compliance. She has a broad depth of knowledge and experience in the training industry offering support and guidance to both customers and our team. Kandy’s friendly and supportive nature has ensured Kentec Training’s success and continued customer satisfaction.
Jadie leads our sales, administration and marketing team. She is responsible for ensuring our clients, associates, employees and instructors are fully supported. She oversees projects for the company, concentrating on growth and efficiency. She also heads up the tendering and procurement for our larger customers.
Jadie is a graduate of Coventry University, her drive and focus on achieving outstanding results, makes her a great asset to Kentec and our future. Jadie has successfully completed thePrince2 Foundation and Practitioner, IOSH Managing Safely, and both the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and National Construction Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
She is currently undertaking the NCRQ Level 6 Diploma in Applied Health and Safety.
Dave is responsible for the day-to-day management of our training operations and instructor wellbeing. Dave is a qualified PASMA, Ladder Association, IOSH, and First Aid Instructor. He started his career in Health & Safety back in 2005 whilst overseas and has successfully completed both his NEBOSH General and Construction Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Over the past 13 years, he has learned that to make this subject effective and viable, it has to be managed and delivered in the right way.
Dave has recently successfully completed theMental Health First Aid England instructor course, NUCO Mental Health instructor course, and Safeguarding course. Delegates enjoy Dave's relaxed, interactive and down-to-earth style of teaching, allowing everyone to learn from each other and pass on their knowledge and experience.
Dave now heads our instructor team as our Training Operations Manager and Lead Instructor ensuring continuous quality and effective delivery of our training courses and support for our ever-growing team of instructors.
Laura manages the day-to-day operations, providing guidance and leadership to the training office team. She is also a primary contact for our customers and manages the service of a number of our tender contracts, providing outstanding customer service. Laura supports our social media and marketing campaigns and leads the team on external exhibitions.
Laura also provides invaluable support to the Operations Director in special projects.
She believes that customer service is a strong attribute and she thrives to build a great working relationship with all our clients. Laura has achieved her NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
Antony is a member of our compliance and quality assurance team. His primary role is checking all course documentation for accuracy and working with external auditors to ensure we are maintaining the highest standards of compliance. He plays a key role in our internal quality control system. Antony has also successfully completed his NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
Matthew oversees the marketing and visual branding of Kentec Training, as well as heading the design work on our website and upcoming promotional materials.
Matthew is also a graduate of the University of Derby, and using the knowledge earned with his degree in Visual Effects & Post-Production, he creates the various graphics, videos, and animations you see throughout our social media channels and on Kentec's own bespoke training courses too!
James has been with Kentec for many years and has become one of our most respected and sought after instructors. He joined us as an experienced IPAF, PASMA, Ladder and Safety Harness Instructor, however, during his time at Kentec, James has been busy gaining additional instructor qualifications with IPAF, the Ladder Association, Tetra, First Aid, cable avoidance tools as well as achieving both his CIEH Professional Instructor and PTLLs teaching qualifications. He has recently achieved his Fit2Fit Accreditation andNEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and is now working towards his P402 Asbestos Survey and Sampling Course.
James’s proven skill, support and experience when instructing has resulted in excellent feedback from his course delegates at all levels. James was recently appointed Lead Instructor for IPAF, Tetra and Specialist courses where his role is to ensure the quality and effectiveness of our training to our valued clients.
Jason joined us here at Kentec in July 2019. Jason joined the army straight from leaving school at the young age of 15yrs and 8mths old. He was a Queen's guardsman and was also a battlefield medic for 6 years. After being involved in an explosion in Afghanistan his career in the army came to a sudden end after an injury that he sustained.
After being medically discharged he found a new love of teaching! He started working with young offenders within the construction industry which made him realise his passion for training and empowering people. He has recently found a new career in training first aid, working at height and health & safety, which brings him to working at Kentec Training.

Since joining Kentec, Jason has gained his PASMA, British Abrasive Federation, and Ladder Association instructor status and is currently working toward his NCRQ LEVEL 6Certificate in Applied Health and Safety.
Laura is part of Kentec's team of experienced instructors. She has already showcased her immense passion for learning as she has been undertaking her training, and is proving to be an invaluable part of the team.
She has recently passed her PASMA & Ladder Instructor training course with flying colours!
Chester joined our team in March 2023, and is already well underway with upskilling and expanding his instructing capabilities. He recently passed his Ladder Instructor course and is looking forward into the future at other avenues he can expand into. He is a very welcome addition to the team and we're happy to have him!
Rod joined us in April 2023, and has already seamlessly ingratiated himself into the team. His natural charisma turns what can sometimes be quite a daunting experience into an exciting and enjoyable training course. We're all extremely excited about his future with Kentec!
Adrian was a long-standing independent instructor who has since decided to join our fantastic instructor team full-time in September 2023. We've heard several times that his energetic and passionate delivery of his courses has made his training extremely engaging and interesting, and we're very happy to have him here with us at Kentec!
Tony has been working as one of our team of instructors since early in 2013. Tony is an IPAF Instructor with over 5 years of experience as an instructor and over 15 years in the access industry especially with MEWP technical and operational maintenance and inspections. Tony is an easy going instructor with an outstanding rapport with his students resulting in positive feedback from all of his courses.
Thomas is a fully qualified IPAF Instructor and joined Kentec in 2022 to continue to strengthen our fantastic team of IPAF instructors. Thomas has a great time with his trainees by ensuring they recieve the knowledge and training they need to operate MEWPs safely, but also have an enjoyable and engaging experience.
With over 20 years of experience in the training industry, Stuart's knowledge and experience will provide our customers with the high-quality service they have come to expect from Kentec Training. He is a qualified PASMA, Ladder Association, IOSH, Safety Harness, Work at height and Workplace Safety instructor and has received great feedback from delegates in the time he has been with us.
Dan is an experienced Work at Height instructor specialising in PASMA Mobile Access Tower training. He supports our PASMA courses at our Kent Training Centre as well as our onsite courses. Many of his delegates have complimented him on his enthusiastic teaching style.
Ian has worked with Kentec for some time now in his role as an IPAF and Ladder Association instructor. He provides additional support at our Kent Training Centre and onsite at our customer's sites around Kent and East Sussex.
Andy has been in the Height Safety Industry for 19 years, having worked for some of the UK's leading safety equipment manufacturers both as a salesman and a technical and operational trainer. Andy's extensive knowledge and experience in the work at height and safety industry makes him a valuable asset to the Kentec instructor team.
