Steve is the Managing Director, co-founder and senior instructor of Kentec Training. He is a Council member and Director of PASMA and an active member of PASMA and the Ladder Association, currently serving as Chairman of the Ladder Association Committee and an active member and past chairman of the PASMA Training Committee. Steve is regarded as one of the leading instructors within the access industry being called upon to talk atseminarsand facilitate courses for senior health and safety professionals from local authorities, utilities, IOSH groups and government bodies including the H.S.E.
Steve provides strategic leadership, active management and takes particular responsibility for service and instructor standards. He ensures the company maintains outstanding levels of service, consistently matching the professionalism of our market leading clients and contractors.
Kandy is a co-founder of Kentec Training and has supported Steve from the very first day in building Kentec Training into one of the leading training providers in the UK.
Kandy has always been tenacious in achieving the very highest standard possible in customer service and procedural compliance. She has a broad depth of knowledge and experience in the training industry offering support and guidance to both customers and our team. Kandy’s friendly and supportive nature has ensured Kentec Training’s success and continued customer satisfaction.
Jadie leads our sales and marketing team and has organised and attended several major industry exhibitions such as the Safety & Health Expo and the Kent Construction Focus Group. She is responsible for growing our expanding network of training partnerships and associates, as well as new training opportunities and awarding bodies. She oversees projects for the company, concentrating on growth and efficiency. She also heads up the tendering and procurement for our larger customers.
Jadie is a graduate of Coventry University, her drive and focuses on achieving outstanding results makes her a great asset to Kentec and our future. Jadie has successfully completed bothPrince2 Foundation and Practitioner and IOSH Managing Safelyqualifications and has recently achieved herNEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and Construction Certificate.
Stuart has recently joined Kentec as Training Manager to oversee the day to day management and delivery of our training services.
With over 20 years experience in the training industry both as a training manager and instructor, Stuart's knowledge and experience will provide our customers with the high-quality service they have come to expect from Kentec Training.
He is a qualified PASMA, Ladder Association, IOSH, Safety Harness, Work at height and Workplace Safety instructor and has already received great feedback from delegates in the time he has been with us.
Natalie joined us in 2016 and now manages the training administration team. In addition to managing the admin team, she is responsible for the management of key customer accounts and provides support to our Directors and Operations Manager during the procurement and tendering process.
She also provides vital support to our accounts team, ensuring that clients courses are delivered effectively.
Laura joined Kentec back in March 2017 and quickly fitted right into the team. She is a primary contact for our incoming enquiries and account manager for key customers. She also supports the social media and marketing. She believes that customer service is a strong attribute and she thrives to build a great working relationship with all our clients. Laura has recently achieved her NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
Alice is a key member of the administration team, working with our clients to ensure onsite training goes off without a hitch. She ensures the logistics for the instructor are correct and that the clients are prepared and ready for the course. Alice also helps out with our other training centres, processing clients paperwork and certification and then helps with all the general administration tasks that go along side it.
Elliey is the newest member of our administration team, providing key support to our instructors and customers.
She processes course bookings, online registrations and certification. Elliey is responsible for communicating with our awarding bodies and the pre-course organisation. She is already proving to be an asset to the team.
Keeley has joined us as part of our Training Sales team in November 2018, bringing energy and enthusiasm into the office.
She is one of the primary contacts for all our incoming training enquiries and has already attended most of our popular training courses, so has the first-hand experience to offer guidance on selecting the right course for her clients.
Matthew recently joined our training administration team and has already proven himself with his accuracy and diligence. Matthew also assists our course writing team by creating motion graphics and animations.
Antony is a member of our administration, compliance and quality assurance team. His primary role is checking all course documentation for accuracy and working with external auditors to ensure we are maintaining the highest standards of compliance. He plays a key role in our internal quality control system.
Dave is a Technical Member of IOSH and joined Kentec as an experienced instructor and safety consultant. Dave is a qualified PASMA, Ladder Association, IOSH and First Aid Instructor. He started his career in Health & Safety back in 2005 whilst overseas and has successfully completed his NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Over the past 13 years, he has learned that to make this subject effective and viable, it has to be managed and delivered in the right way.
Dave has recently successfully completed the BiSF Fit2Fit Face Fit Assessors. Delegates enjoy Dave's relaxed, interactive and down to earth style of teaching, allowing everyone to learn from each other and pass on their knowledge and experience.
Dave now heads our instructor team as Lead Instructor ensuring continuous quality and effective delivery of our training courses.
James has been with Kentec for many years and has become one of our most respected and sought after instructors. He joined us as an experienced IPAF, PASMA, Ladder and Safety Harness Instructor, however, during his time at Kentec, James has been busy gaining additional instructor qualifications with IPAF, the Ladder Association, Tetra, First Aid, cable avoidance tools as well as achieving both his CIEH Professional Instructor and PTLLs teaching qualifications. He has recently achieved his Fit2Fit Accreditation andNEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and is now working towards his P402 Asbestos Survey and Sampling Course.
James’s proven skill, support and experience when instructing has resulted in excellent feedback from his course delegates at all levels. James was recently appointed Lead Instructor for IPAF, Tetra and Specialist courses where his role is to ensure the quality and effectiveness of our training to our valued clients.
Adrian has joined our team of instructors after a twenty-year career in the Navy as an established instructor and team leader.
He has joined us as an experienced IPAF, PASMA and Ladder instructor and has achieved NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. In the short time Adrian has been with us he has already received outstanding feedback from his students.
Tony has been working as one of our team of instructors since early in 2013. Tony is an IPAF Instructor with over 5 years of experience as an instructor and over 15 years in the access industry especially with MEWP technical and operational maintenance and inspections. Tony is an easy going instructor with an outstanding rapport with his students resulting in positive feedback from all of his courses.
Lee heads up our PASMA and IPAF training at our London Training Centre. He is a well respected instructor and comes with a vast knowledge of Powered Access after being in the industry for over 15 years progressing from a Driver, Driver Operator to an instructor specialising in in Large Powered Access and Spider Booms as well as PASMA Mobile Tower Training.
Lee has received high praise from both his candidates and colleagues for his teaching style and attitude toward getting the best results, he is a valued addition to the Kentec training team.
Dan is an experienced Work at Height instructor specialising in PASMA Mobile Access Tower training. He supports our PASMA courses at our Kent Training Centre as well as our onsite courses. Many of his delegates have complimented him on his enthusiastic teaching style.
Adrian heads up our CITB Site Safety Plus instructor team. With many years experience Adrian has already made a marked improvement in both the delivery and the results of our Site Safety Plus courses. Many of his students have praised his delivery and patients when teaching.
Chris has an extensive experience in Health & Safety spanning some 27 years. This experience extends to providing consultancy and training to various national organisations, including large multi-site operations. These clients include various Local Authorities including Education and Social Services departments, the Kent Police Authority, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and many others. Chris spent 8 years as the national consultant to the RSPCA. Chris is an experienced lead tutor for NEBOSH Diploma, General Certificate and Construction Certificate programmes and is a registered NEBOSH Examiner.
He describes himself as “An experienced health & safety professional who is totally committed to improving company’s safety performance as well as taking a personal interest in ensuring success to all candidates at whatever level they are seeking to achieve.”
Mark joined the Kentec Training team of instructors back in 2009 to further strengthen our team of IPAF instructors. Mark has been an instructor for over 10 years and is a fully qualified IPAF Senior Instructor. Mark has a comprehensive experience with the access industry with Mobile Access Towers, MEWPs, MCWPs, Suspended Access and Scaffolding.
Ian has worked with Kentec for some time now in his role as an IPAF and Ladder Association instructor. He provides additional support at our Kent Training Centre and onsite at our customer's sites around Kent and East Sussex.
Tony has worked in the construction industry for over 25 years and brings with him a wealth of operational knowledge and experience. In his previous role as Plant Operations Manager at Kilby & Gayford, he was also a member of their regional health and safety committee for nearly 10 years. He supports the delivery of our PASMA Courses at our Kent, Essex and London training centres.
Andy has been in the Height Safety Industry for 19 years, having worked for some of the UK's leading safety equipment manufacturers both as a salesman and a technical and operational trainer. Andy's extensive knowledge and experience in the work at height and safety industry makes him a valuable asset to the Kentec instructor team.
Martin is a Chartered Member of IOSH and completed his NEBOSH Diploma in 1998. He has worked in health & safety and engineering since leaving the RAF in 1992. After working at the Channel Tunnel for several years, he worked as an Engineering Surveyor before moving into the role of health & safety consultancy where he has worked for the past 17 years.
Martin is an experienced trainer in health & safety and has delivered a range of course from IOSH Managing Safely, Working Safely to manual handling and risk assessment. Martin has also completed a 2-year teacher training course (Cert Ed - Certificate in Education) and is also experienced in carrying out health & safety site audits for a range of clients including manufacturing, construction and care.
Lucy joins our administration team as an apprentice business administrator, studying for her NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration. Her work ethic and attitude are refreshing and she has already made a positive impact on the administration team.
In focusing his training, coaching and consultancy experience into the business environment, Joe has inspired others to achieve outstanding results. Since 1993, he has worked with a broad range of organisational cultures, helping 1000s of people revolutionise the way they work with others. He specialises in human development and psychological wellbeing. His training and coaching sessions are often described as “humorous, thought provoking, interactive and leading to highly practical ideas”.
He holds an MSc in Organisational Development and Neuro Linguistic Technologies, a degree in Philosophy and Psychology, a diploma in Performance Coaching and a diploma in Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy and NLP.
Joe is also an NLP Master Trainer who enjoys learning new things… by exploring diverse fields of science, language, philosophy and psychology and then integrating these ‘learnings’. He is author of “Solving Impossible Problems”, “Who Stole My Pie?” and co-author of “The Model Presenter”‘ “The Relationship Dance”, “The Little Book of Resilience” and “The Little Book of Persuasion: Updated”. He is also the creator and editor of the “Powered By NLP” book series and a peer reviewed journal: Acuity.
He is a business mentor for University of Sussex, the career coach for TOPRA and is an active branch committee member of the CIPD.
