Course Overview

Our CITB Achieving Behavioural Change Course delivers a minimum of 7.5 hours of instruction to a maximum of 20 delegates. The course provides delegates with an understanding of how attitude, behaviour, communication and worker engagement at all levels can help prevent the chances of accidents occurring. The course can be applied to any construction situation and addresses the benefits of adopting behavioural change, for all contractors who work on construction and civil engineering projects.

This course consists of a training room lecture, DVD presentation and written assessment.

This course is designed for operatives, contractors, supervisors and managerial staff within the construction industry who wish to gain an understanding of how they can improve the safety culture within their organisation.

There is a minimum number of 4 delegates required to run this course. This encourages discussion, best practice sharing, exercises and case study debates throughout the course. The maximum number of delegates on this course is 20 and the course content is suited for all ability levels.

Delegates must be competent in English at site manager level.

Upon successful completion of this course each delegate will receive a CITB Construction Skills e-Certificate of Training, valid for a period of 5 years. This is a one-day course. Delegates are required to complete the full course (7.5 hours) to be eligible for certification. Assessment will be by a written assessment paper. At the end of the theory session, delegates will take a written assessment consisting of nine multiple choice questions.
