Our Safety Harness FPE Formal Inspection Course delivers a minimum of 4 hours of both theory and hands on practical instruction and provides delegates with the required competency to safely and correctly carry out the statutory inspections to general items of fall protection equipment and accurately record their findings. This course incorporates the guidance on inspection regimes detailed in INDG-367 along with supporting sample forms and documentation.
The inspection procedures recommended in this course have been discussed with representatives of manufacturers, suppliers, installers and major users. It is recommend that formal, in-depth inspections should be carried out and recorded periodically at minimum intervals of every six months by a competent person.
This safety harness course is aimed at providing the competence required to complete both interim and detailed inspections and record the findings on a range of commonly used fall protection equipment.
This course consists of a training room lecture, presentation, written assessment, practical training and assessment.
This course is aimed at personnel who are or will be responsible for the formal inspection of safety harnesses, lanyards and associated F.P.E (Fall Protection Equipment) in the work place. There are no prerequisite required for this course although a working knowledge of safety harnesses, lanyards and associated F.P.E (Fall Protection Equipment) would be an advantage.
Since the safe use of fall protection equipment requires that delegates consult safety notices and read and thoroughly understand the manufacturer’s instruction manual, English literacy and language comprehension are important requirements for any user.

Successful delegates will receive e-certification accredited by Kentec Training valid for a period of 3 years from the date of the course. Delegates will be able to design a scheme of examination, produce a examination inspection report and inspect common work at height FPE (Fall Protection Equipment).

No. As this is a classroom-based course, you are not required to bring any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). For certain training sessions, temporary equipment such as safety harnesses may be provided if required.
