This one day course is designed to help those who are about to work, or have just begun to work, in the industry to understand the potential hazards they face on site wishing to obtain an industry accreditation card. This course is also an alternative route to the QCF Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment for the CSCS Labourer Card.
The HSA course provides health and safety awareness and is endorsed by Build UK as standard training for all operatives on site.Delegates must be competent in English at operative level.
The course content is suited to all ability levels. A natural progression from this course would be to attend the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).
The assessment will be an exam paper that consists of 25 multiple choice questions. There are 3 safety critical questions in each exam paper which delegates must answer correctly in order to pass the exam. The examination lasts for 30 minutes, where the last 10 minutes is open book and delegates can refer to their textbook.
Please note that the course price includes a same day resit should any of the safety critical questions be answered incorrectly.
Upon successful completion of this course each delegate will receive a CITB Construction Skills Certificate of Training.
Certification for this course is valid for 5 years. Once completed, delegates are then able to apply for the CITB Health, Safety & Environment touch screen test. This will enable them to then apply for a CSCS Green Labourers Card.
