Course Overview

Our Harness - Rooftop Safety Course delivers a minimum of 6 hours instruction and is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 12 delegates, providing training on the vital information and understanding on how to identify hazards and reduce the risks of working at height on pitched, flat, spire, trussed or curved roofs.

This course consists of a training room lecture, DVD presentation and written assessment.

This course is aimed at personnel who are involved in working on, pitched, flat, spire, trussed or curved roofs. With emphasis being on the safe use of the many types of anchor systems that may be used. This course also includes the pre use inspection and correct fitting of fall arrest harnesses. Operatives will gain a thorough knowledge of the difference between fall arrest and fall restraint.

Since the safe use of fall protection equipment requires that delegates consult safety notices and read and thoroughly understand the manufacturer’s instruction manual, English literacy and language comprehension are important requirements for any user.

Successful delegates will receive e-certification accredited by Kentec Training valid for a period of 3 years from the date of the course. Delegates will gain an understanding of the work at height regulations required to effectively reduce the risks associated with work at height, the hierarchy of measures and using personal prevention and protection systems for fall restraint and arrest on a rooftop.
