Course Overview

Our CITB Health & Safety Awareness eCourse delivers a minimum of 6 hours of instruction, allowing delegates to learn at their own pace, anytime and anywhere, , providing training to aid the understanding of potential hazards the construction worker may face on site.

The course is an ideal foundation for those wishing to obtain an industry accreditation card and dives into a summary of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, identifying the delegate’s responsibility for looking after themselves and others; outlining the employer’s duties; and explaining what should be done if the worker thinks that anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk.

Assessment will be by an exam paper which consists of 25 multiple choice questions. There are 3 safety critical questions in each exam paper which delegates must answer correctly in order to pass the exam. The examination lasts for 30 minutes, where the last 10 minutes is open book. The assessment will be conducted online.

This is an eCourse. Upon purchase, Delegates will receive a unique voucher code that will allow them access to the eLearning course. Delegates will have 12 months to complete the course from the day of purchase.

This one day course is designed to help those who are about to work, or have just begun to work, in the industry to understand the potential hazards they face on site wishing to obtain an industry accreditation card. The HSA course provides health and safety awareness and is endorsed by Build UK as standard training for all operatives on site. Delegates must be competent in English at operative level.

This course is suitable for those who wish to complete this course in the comfort of their own space, at a pace that suits them. We are able to provide remote support for delegates where required. CITB have released a helpful video guide for the course, watch it here. This course is also an alternative route to the QCF Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment for the CSCS Green Labourers Card.

The course content is suited to all ability levels. A natural progression from this course would be to attend the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Course.

Upon successful completion of this course each delegate will receive a CITB Construction Skills e-Certificate of Training, valid for a period of 5 years from the course date. Once completed, delegates are then able to apply for the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Touch Screen Test. This will enable them to then apply for a CSCS Green Labourers Card. Delegates will receive results immediately after the completion of the assessment.
