Course Overview

Our PASMA Combined Low-Level Access and Towers for Users Course delivers a minimum of 6 hours of instruction and is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 8 delegates. This course is aimed at giving FULL competence in assembling, altering, inspecting, moving and dismantling mobile towers, folding low level room scaffolds and podium work platforms manufactured in aluminium alloy or fibreglass, approved to BS EN1004-1:2020 or Low Level Access Units approved to BS 8620 or other equivalent mark of approval.

Spend a day at our approved PASMA Training Centre with one of our expert instructors and become knowledgeable on:

  • How to safely assemble, dismantle, alter and move mobile access towers
  • How to safely use mobile access towers
  • How to inspect mobile access towers
  • How to identify hazards relating to their use
  • What legislation, regulations and guidance are applicable to these towers

This course consists of a training room lecture, DVD presentation, written assessment, practical training and assessment.

This course is suitable for anyone in an organisation who assembles, alters, dismantles, moves, inspects and most importantly uses alloy or fibreglass mobile access towers, low level access units or podiums in the workplace. This not only includes construction sites but all workplaces, such as schools, offices and factories both internally and externally. There are no prerequisites required for this course although a working knowledge of mobile access towers and low level access units is an advantage.

Since the safe use of mobile access towers requires that delegates consult safety notices and read and thoroughly understand the manufacturer’s instruction manual, English literacy and language comprehension are important requirements for any tower user.

Please note that delegates will be expected to work at height whilst building a mobile access tower, so please ensure delegates are in good health and do not have a fear of heights that may preclude them from taking part in the practical assessment.

Successful delegates will receive a PASMA Towers for Users & Low-Level Access e-certificate and physical photo ID card, valid for a period of 5 years from the date of the course. All successful delegates can also access their e-certification through the free PASMA TowerSure smartphone app, available on iOS and Android.

They will gain an understanding of current relevant legislation and be able to dismantle, assemble, inspect and most importantly use mobile access towers safely, in line with current approved methods and manufacturer’s instructions.

Once you’ve completed the course, you become eligible for more advanced PASMA courses which cover different tower configurations, such as:
